survey: favorite technical writing task

| |

I have a simple monday morning question to pose to all the technical writers out there:

What is your favorite task or thing about being a tech writer? We take on 1000 roles, and going from idea for a document to a stack of papers (or file) in a user's hand requires many discrete steps. Which is your favorite step?

The "arms' length" final check of a new manual (sometimes done on-screen in Adobe Acrobat nowadays, I have to admit, with two pages up): flicking through a book to make sure there are no obvious visual glitches.

It is my favourite task, obviously enough, because it is the very last check I make.
